EDHA concern guide

Relationships

Relationship concerns can involve partners, friendships or other close relationships. Support can help you understand recurring patterns, communicate more clearly and decide what you need from the relationship.

People often seek support when...

  • Repeated arguments or communication breakdowns
  • Trust, boundaries or emotional-distance concerns
  • Difficulty expressing needs or resolving conflict
  • Adjustment after separation, betrayal or major change

How counselling may help

  • Identify recurring interaction patterns
  • Strengthen communication and boundary-setting
  • Explore needs, expectations and attachment patterns
  • Support clearer decision-making about the relationship

When other care may also be appropriate

Where there is violence, coercive control or immediate safety risk, prioritise safety and specialist support rather than ordinary relationship counselling.

EDHA is not an emergency service. If there is immediate risk, seek urgent in-person help through local emergency services or the nearest hospital. Government of India Tele-MANAS is available 24x7 at 14416 or 1800-89-14416.
